Once you are here it is reasonably easy to get around. There's plenty of walking if you like that kind of thing. If you are interested in cycling you can rent bikes from our local Nittelerhof or if you fancy a cycling trip let us know and we'll give you some more details on bike hire.

Nittel to Luxembourg City - 32km
Nittel to Trier - 27km
Nittel to Metz - 100km
There is a train station in Nittel. Trains go to Trier every hour and the journey takes 20 minutes. The tickets are €4. To check train times you can use bahn.de's web site.
You can travel between Trier and Luxembourg City by train in about 30 mins. There is no direct connection to Luxembourg from Nittel so the journey by train is quite long (1 hour-ish).
If you've driven from London then there's lots of places you can reach easily by car. If you want to hire a car then you can find car rental offices at the airport in Luxembourg or Frankfurt-Hahn. You can also hire a car in Trier if you begin your visit there. If you have trouble let us know.
With a car you can easily visit the surrounding area. Drive down the Luxembourgish side of the Mosel to Remich (15kms), or drive to Mondorf Les Bains (20kms) in France. There are lots of other places to visit - check the local info pages.
For routes and maps there is always Mappy or Michelin.
There are bus services in Nittel as well.
